Post Holes

Use this tool to calculate how many cubic yards of concrete are required for post holes using either solid rectangular or circular posts.

Tips for using this calculator:

1. This calculator assumes the post hole is not tapered and is approximately the same width from top to bottom.
2. You can enter a post depth that is deeper than the depth of the concrete, for example if you are setting the bottom of the post in a gravel bed. The calculator will automatically compensate for this.
3. You cannot enter a post size that has a cross sectional area greater than the hole size. If you do this, you will get an error.

Use this tool to calculate the pitch and angle of a roof when the rise and run are known.
- Tip: The Rise is measured vertically, the run is measured horizontally. The greater the length of you're measurement, the more accurate the results will likely be. For example a rise measurement of 6 ft 8in. and a run measurement of 12 ft. 9in. will likely produce more accurate results than taking rise and run measurments of 6 in. and 12 in.
